Bobby Ray Belcher, 85 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center. Bobby was a retired coal miner and a member of the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. He was born June 04, 1939 in Pikeville, KY to the late Himan Belcher and Lenore Potter Belcher Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Belle Adkins Belcher, daughter Debra Kay Swiney, step-father, James Carl Adkins, brother, Carrol Dean Belcher and sister, Patty Jean Belcher.
Bobby is survived by a son, Bobby Ray “Rusty” Belcher, Jr. of Elkhorn City, KY; a daughter, Angie (Tommy) Mullins of Elkhorn City, KY; son-in-law, Tommy Swiney of Elkhorn City, KY; five grandchildren, Issac (Verda) Swiney, Shawn (Jeanie) Swiney, Chase Belcher, Heather (Forest) Newsome & Cheynne (Brandon) Carey; seven great-grandchildren, Noah Swiney, Issac Swiney, Ben Swiney, Shelby Arnett, Easton Newsome, Evelyn Carey & Easton Sanders.
Visitation will be after 6PM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 and Thursday, August 01, 2024 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. The funeral will be conducted Friday, August 02, 2024 at 1PM from the church with Phil Hines and Larry Puckett officating. Burial will follow at the Potter Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY.
