Melinda Louise Adkins

Melinda Louise Looney Adkins, 54 of Lick Creek, Ky. was born on Feb. 20, 1971 In West Virginia and passed away at the home of her daughter on April 14, 2025. Melinda was a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church. She was the daughter of Edna Patricia Looney of Pikeville, Ky, and the late John Looney. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister Sherri Mara. Survivors in addition to her mother are her husband; Clifford Adkins, Jr., a son; Jacob (McKayla) Damron of Pikeville, Ky. and a daughter; Kara Gooslin of Lick Creek, Ky., step son; Isiah Adkins, and step; daughters; Alexa and Kari Adkins, grandchildren; Maddelyn Blair, Maisyn Blair, Gavin Casey and Tylan Gooslin. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home chapel from 6:00 PM-10:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 and Thursday from 8:00 AM-10:00 PM with services nightly at 7:00 with Rick Fuller and Rick Sawyers officiating. Funeral service will be Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2:00 in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.
