Who we are
Denver and Bonnie Bailey established The Bailey Funeral Home in 1968 in Elkhorn City, Kentucky. Almost sixty years later, Denver and Bonnie are still the sole owners and operators and continue to carry on the legacy of personal service.
The Bailey Funeral Home is a full-service funeral home offering our families at-need services, pre-need services, and cremations. We strive to maintain a tradition of compassionate care and attention to detail. We understand that the loss of a loved one can be overwhelming whether it is your first encounter with death or you have had several experiences with grief. We understand some people may need guidance during this stressful time in your life. We are here to walk beside you throughout this experience and offer guidance without imposing our beliefs and feelings on your family. From the moment you walk through our door, we work to make you feel supported and at home. Together, with our families, we work to serve you and honor the memory of your loved one according to his or her personality. Many families follow their own traditions when arranging services while others seek something different. We want you to feel comfortable in expressing your desires to us. Your comfort and well-being are our main concern.
We are trained professionals who believe that we have a responsibility to help ensure that your needs are met in hopes that the experience of your loss is made a little easier.
Denver and Bonnie learned at an early age to work hard and take care of the families that entrusted them with their loved ones. Denver and Bonnie believe when the earthly life of a loved one ends, there is nothing more rewarding than helping the family honor the life that was lived. This philosophy has served them well with over fifty years in the funeral business. Please feel free to come by to discuss any questions or needs that you may have or to just sit down and share a friendly cup of coffee.
