Sarah Swiney, 43

Sarah Dawn Swiney, 43 of Shelbiana, KY passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at her residence. Sarah was born June 13, 1981 to Novella Hamilton Courtney of Shelbiana, KY and the late Paul Raymond Courtney. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a half-brother, Donnie Courtney and half-sister, Janet Helvey.

In addition to her mother, Sarah is survived by her husband, Darin Swiney of Shelbiana, KY; daughter, Darian Swiney of Pikeville, KY; sister, Donna Marie Courtney of Georgetown, KY; In-laws, Marian and Randall Sanders; brother-in-law, Darrell Swiney; and two nieces, Kimberly (Nathan) Goff and Savannah (Brent) Burke a nephew; Adam (Brook) Swiney; uncles Tommy Hamilton and Ronald Hamilton; aunts, Racine Rogers and Vicki Watson; and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-10PM Monday, Feb. 24 and Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with services nightly at 7PM. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1PM from the chapel with David Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow at the Swiney Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY.
