Clinton Sanders, 86

Hiram Clinton Sanders, 86 of Ashcamp, KY passed away Thursday, March 06, 2025 at his residence. Clinton was a retired coal miner, a member of the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church and a mason with Jenkins Lodge. He was born February 10, 1939 at Ashcamp, KY to the late Wade Sanders and June Anderson Sanders. In addition to his parents, Clinton was preceded in death by a brother Eugene Sanders.

Clinton is survived by his wife, Sharon Gatling Sanders of Ashcamp, KY; a son, Alan Clinton Sanders of Pikeville, KY; two daughters, Cheri Gortney and Kimber Sanders both of Ashcamp, KY; grandchildren, Tony Gortney, Amity Varney, Joshua Sanders, Jackie Blackburn and Samantha Leslie; great-grandchildren, Bell Gortney, Gracie Gortney, Colten Varney, Lincoln Varney, Daniel Leslie, Gabrie Leslie, Sarah Leslie, Coralee Leslie, Chelsea Blackburn & George Blackburn; great- great- grandchildren, Ivry Newsome and Oaklynn Newsome.

Visitation will be after 6PM Sunday, March 09, 2025 at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church with a masonic service at 6:30PM and a church service at 7PM. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, March 10, 2025 at 3PM from the church with Van Swindall officiating. Burial will follow at Sanders Cemetery, Ashcamp, KY.
