Janice Marie Matney, 86

Janice Marie Matney, 86 of Lick Creek, KY passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church.

She was born November 23, 1938 in Belcher, KY to the late Ervin Francisco and June Bingham Clevinger. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Raymond Matney, a daughter, Cindy Meade, a granddaughter, Jessica Hurley, brothers, Billy Francisco, John Ray Clevinger, Honsel Clevinger, Wayne Clevinger & Ricky Clevinger and sisters, Rosetta Bryant, Phyllis Salyer and Noreen Matney.

Janice is survived by daughters, Janet (Norman) Stump of Claremont, NC, Judy Ratliff of Ashcamp, KY, Jackie (Roger) Belcher of Belcher, KY and Earline Matney of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Billy Meade, Jedidiah Meade, Shannon Belcher, Shelly Belcher, Daniel Ratliff, Vickie Trump, Norma Thacker, Greg Stump, Major Preston & Gielle Franklin; great-grandchildren, Austin Meade, Harley Meade, Chad Belcher, Lucas Belcher, Marissa Mathis, Troy Lester, Haley Lester, Shelby Peeler, Harley Davidson, Santana Earle & Connie Chapman; and two great-great-grandchildren, Victoria Earle and Asher Davis. She is also survived by two brothers, Randall Clevinger of Lick Creek, KY and Earl Clevinger of Kingsport, TN and a sister, Sue Noel of Schaumburg, IL.

Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Lick Creek Holiness Church with a song service at 7 PM. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 12PM from the church with Rick Fuller and Ray Sayers officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
