Roger Lee Shortridge, 83

Roger Lee Shortridge, 83 of Mouthcard, KY passed away Sunday, June 09, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center. Roger was the owner of Roger’s Grocery and a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ. He was born April 06, 1941 at Little Hackney Creek, KY to the late Haskell Shortridge and Hazel Ramey Shortridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Bennie Earl Shortridge and sisters, Janieve Conn and Ample Swiney.

Roger is survived by his wife, Rosie Shortridge of Mouthcard, KY; two sons, Barry Shortridge of Mouthcard, KY and Mark Anthony Shortridge of Longwood, FL; a daughter, Pamela Goins of Elkhorn City, KY; and three grandchildren, Gregory Seth Goins, Zachary Heath Goins & Barry Joseph Shortridge. He is also survived by one sister, Charlotte Fowler of Chesapeake, VA.

Visitation and singing will be after 6PM Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Mt. View Church of Christ. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1PM from the church with Steve Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Roger Shortridge Cemetery, Little Hackney Creek, Mouthcard, KY.
