Ella Christine “Chris” Taylor

Chris Taylor, 71 of Mouthcard, Ky. was born on August 19, 1952 at Rockridge, WV and passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She was the daughter of Everette and Victoria Blankenship Dawson who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Stateline Free Pentecostal Church at Mouthcard, Ky. and a paralegal secretary for Kelsey Friend Law Firm in Pikeville, Ky. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter; Sandra Owens, and a brother; David Dawson. Survivors are her husband; Carlos Taylor, a son; Lonnie (Jamie) Owens of Asheboro, NC, sisters; Geneva Steele of Bradshaw, WV., Judy Bays of Orgaz, WV., Sharon Kennedy of Bradshaw, WV., Drema Sinkannen 0f Charleston, WV., Gaia Nash of Polka, WV., and Karen Estep of Bloomington, WV., grandchildren; Kelly Cheyenne Thacker, William Anthony Bevins and Walker Allen Owens, 2 great-grandchildren; Ember Lynn Bevins and Joshua Ryan Palinkas. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 6:00-10:00 PM with a service at 7:00. The funeral service will be on Monday, June 17, 2024, 2:00 with Jessie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Caleb-Smith Cemetery at Rockridge, West Virginia.

    I want to let you know that I am truly devastated , I would like to come but I don’t know if I can handle this , haven’t been to anyone’s passing after my older sister passed . I am praying for the family and I love each and everyone of you!! I will keep her in my heart and even though I lost touch I will never forget this sweet lady she was my confident and it seemed like she would always know when I was down and by the time we got off the phone I would be laughing!! Love you Sister Chris and your family!!
