Alvin Eulan Wright, 88, of Elkhorn City, KY, passed away Saturday September 12, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Eulan was the son of the late Frank and Dulcina Mullins Wright and a member of the Elkhorn City Baptist Church, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Jenkins Lodge 856. In addition to his parents Eulan is preceded in death by his brothers; Phebel, Foncel, George, Andrew “Dimple” Wright, and Claude Deskins, sisters; Beatrice Cantrell, Fern Mullins, Irene Bartley, and Eula Lee Wallace. Eulan is survived by his loving wife of 62 years; Mary Rose Damron Wright, daughter; Karen Stiff Burgett of Lexington, KY, grandchild; Brandon Stiff; great grandchildren; Carter and Kaitlyn Stiff, grandchild; Brooke Stiff Ring; great grandchildren; Jack and Mark Ring, son; Jeffery Daniel Wright of Elkhorn City, Ky. grandchildren; Ashley Wright, Danielle Clevinger and Mary Alexis Wright, great grandchildren; Shawn Blankenship, Emaleigh Clevinger and Remington Clevinger, daughter; Monette Wright of Lexington, KY., brother Jimmy Blake Wright of Michigan and many other family members survive. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 15, 2020 at the Bailey Funeral Home in Elkhorn City, KY at 6-10PM. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at 11AM. Burial will follow at the Elkhorn City Cemetery with Jerry Damron officiating.

I think this is brother Alvin from Southern Baptist theological seminary days. I was trying to find him. I remember him fondly and we went to his home in Elkhorn once. God bless him and family.
