Billy Weldon Damron, 80 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his residence. Billy was a US Navy Veteran, member of the Shelby Valley Church of Christ & a retired Federal Mine Inspector. Billy was born August 9, 1939 at Regina, KY to the late William Damron & Clercie Coleman Damron. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by one brother, Doyle Damron & two sisters, June Sanders & Zuma Teat. Billy is survived by his wife, Joy Belcher Damron of Elkhorn City, KY; one son, Mitch Damron of Elkhorn City, KY; two daughters, Toni Lynn May of Elkhorn City, KY & Karen Denise Meade of Talbott, TN; nine grandchildren, Chris Belcher, Raven Belcher, Kody Belcher, Gabe May, Gage May, Bradley Damron, Katherine McKinney, Mallory Ratliff, Jarrod Ratliff & LeRanda Hayton; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan Belcher, Prestley Belcher, Carrigan Ratliff & Blaine Ratliff. Billy is also survived two brothers, Arnold Damron of Matthews, NC & James Damron of Sweetwater, TN and three sisters, Debbie Ratliff of Virgie, KY, Janice Rue of Detroit, MI & Phyllis Ratliff of Gainesville, FL. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
