Garl Dean May, 83 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at the home of his daughter. Garl was born March 23, 1937 at Rockhouse, KY to the late Russell May & Marilyn Jessie Mays Ratliff. Garl is survived by a son, Gregory (Paula) Batts; two daughters, Carmela Perkins of Elkhorn City, KY & Lydia (Chris) Hampton of Abingdon, VA; and six grandchildren, Jacob Hampton, Katlyn Hampton, Isaac Hampton, Caleb Hampton, Sam Batts & Audrey Batts. Garl is also survived by five brothers, Tom May & Russell May both of Draffin, KY, Jerry May of Lick Creek, KY, Gary May of Shelbiana, KY & Racine May of Elgin, IL and four sisters, Lavoda Ratliff of Belcher, KY, Linda Ratliff of Ferrells Creek, KY, Gloria Swiney & Myrldeen Slone both of Draffin, KY.

Mr. Garl May was a wonderful sweet person who will be greatly missed. My heart and prayers go out to his children, especially Carmelo . With love Sarah
