Lynette Case

Lynette Case, 72 of Lick Creek, Ky. passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center on Friday.  She is a daughter of John D. and Anna Melvina Abshire Sawyers who have prededed her in death.  Lynette was a member of the Blessed Hope Freewill Baptist Church and a teacher.  Survivors are belated husband; Sam Justice, sons; Jonathan Case of Lick Creek and Joe Case of Kimper, daughters; Teresa Annetta Case of Belcher, Senega Ratliff of Pikeville, Melinda Stevens of Virgie and Angela Riddle of Candlar, NC, brothers; Reed Sayers of Lexington, Ky., David Blackburn of Lick Creek, sisters; Holly Belle Williams of Lick Creek, Grace Ramey of Elkhorn City, Cassie Hagerman of Elkhorn City, and Marcia Ratliff of Belcher, grandchildren; Autumn Johnson, Reann Ramey,  Maddy Case, Bill Case,  and Dakota Ratliff, Casey Bishop,and Tia Lee,  great grandchildren; Sheldon Lee, Teddy Abshire, Mason  Abshire , Zack Ramey, Chandlar Ramey, Tessa Ramey, Harper Johnson, Aubree Johnson, and Lola Case and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers; Von, Denton, Merle and Ferro, sister; June Blackburn, and granddaughter; April Case.  Visitation will be from 6:00 -10:00 PM on Saturday and 8:00AM-10:00PM on Sunday  on Sunday with funeral service on Monday at 1:00 with Edgar Sanders, Jeff Ramey and Terry Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sayers Cemetery at Lick Creek, Ky.

    I did not find out until just now. she was my lifelong friend as well as my son’s baby sitter. she took him to school with her as well as serving as an aide in his classroom. I loved her so much.
