Kenneth Bennett, Jr., 64 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at Cleveland Clinic. Kenny was born September 22, 1952 in Pikeville, KY to the late Kenneth Bennett & Alta Mae Potter Bennett. Kenny is survived by his wife, Tammy Perry Bennett of Elkhorn City, KY; two sons, Kenneth Bennett, II of Italy & Larry Dean Bennett of Ohio; two daughters, Sarah Beth Bennett of Buckhorn, KY & Elizabeth Mae Bennett of Elkhorn City, KY; and eight grandchildren. Kenny is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Kendrick and Dwayne Bennett and four sisters, Linda Ward, Tammy Hall, Debbie Cantrell & Jennie Swindall.
I met Kenny at Pulmonary Rehab and he was such an inspiration to me. He always had a smile on his face and worked so hard trying to overcome his illness. I very much admired this man and I am so sorry he couldn’t get better. He tried. He loved his children…he was always talking about them. And he said he wanted to watch his grandbabies grow up. He will be missed.
