Nell Slone, 73 of Mouthcard, passed away at her home on Sunday. She is the daughter of David Ralph and Della Mae Skeens Mollett. Nellie was a CNA and a seamstress and she was of the christian faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son; John Howard Varney, Jr. and sister; Nora Buchanan. Survivors are daughters; Elizabeth(Michael) Cantrell of Mouthcard and Angela(Timothy) Hurst of Berea, Ky., brothers; David and James both of Steele, sisters; Virginia Hodge of Rosedale, Va., Wanda Earley of Catletsburg and Billie Sue Ramey of Steele, grandchildren; Sarah(Troy) Stevens, Jessica Varney and Jonathan Varney all of Columbus, Ohio, Benjamin Cantrell of Mouthcard, Nicholas Hardin of Lexington, Ky., Alexandria Hardin, Timothy Hurst, Isaac Hurst and Olivia Hurst all of Berea and great grandchildren; Tien and Titus Stevens. Visitation will be at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-10:00PM on Tuesday, an evening service at 7:00 with Ronnie Hurley officiating. Funeral services will be at the chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 with burial following in the Childress Family Cemetery at Mouthcard, Ky.
