Fred Allen Deel, 70 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on Dec. 15, 1953 in Grundy, Va. and passed away on Sept. 19, 2024 at the home of his sister, Dinah Saur in Vansant, Va. He was the son of Fred and Alta Jane Deel Deel who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Carol Sue Hodge Deel, a son; Jamie Deel, brothers; Armis, Leon, Troy and Jeffery, sisters; Wanetta Deel and Evelyene Bentley. Fred was of the Christian faith and a tipple operator in the coal industry. Brothers survive him; Venable Deel of Knoxville, Tn. and Ritchie Deel of Haysi and sisters; Venice Church of Haysi and Dinah Sauer of Vansant. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday beginning at 2:00 with a funeral service beginning at 2:30. Jim Ed Belcher will officiate and burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.
