Leah Ratliff, 91, of Belcher, KY was born on July 7, 1932, and passed away on September 26, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late Oscar George “OG” and Monnie Dorcas Looney Belcher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Matt Edward Ratliff, great-grandson, Cody Casey; brothers, Elster Ray Belcher and George Gilbert Belcher; and sister, Betty Sue Mullins. Survivors are her daughters, Barbara Sayers, of Belcher, KY, and Susan Hackney, of Elkhorn City, KY; grandchildren, Stephanie Casey, Christy Williams, and Jeremy Wellmon, great-grandchildren, Hannah DeBarge, Justin Casy, Sidney Curry, and Matthew Curry; and great great grandchild, Deacon DeBarge. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 6:00-10:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at 12:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Richard McKinney officiating with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
Tedo was one of a kind and loved by everyone who met her. She always came over to the church to talk when I was landscaping just to chat. I will always remember her sitting on the porch with a book in her hand. She will be missed on Old Ferrells Creek Road.
