Edith June Cantrell, 91 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on Feb. 21, 1931 in Pike County, Ky. and passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Landmark of Elkhorn City. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Regular Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents Square and Rosa Slone Conley she was preceded also in death by her husband; William Ralph Cantrell, daughter; Linda Slone, brother; Otis Conley, sisters; Hazel Cantrell and Ellie Sifers. Survivors are a son; Charles (Diane) Cantrell of Elkhorn City, daughters; Vivian Sloan of Elkhorn City, and Sharon (Billy) Ratliff of Catlettsburg, Ky, a sister; Jeanette Elswick of Elkhorn City, 5 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00PM-10:00PM on Wednesday at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 1:00 from the chapel with Jerry Overstreet, Larry Puckett, Phillip Hines and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie Young Cemetery at Pikeville, Ky.
