Janice Cook, 83 of Lawrenceburg, Ky. formerly of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on March 21, 1939 at Kettle Camp, Ky. and passed away at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Janice was the daughter of Elmer Guy and Ival Belcher Sifers. She was a member of the Elkhorn City Church of Christ and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother; Roy Neil Sifers. Survivors are her husband; Frank Cook, a son; Patrick (Penny) Cook of Union, Ohio, a daughter; Francine (Joe) Sloan of Lawrenceburg, Ky.., grandchildren; Peyton Sloan, Logan Sloan, Jordan (Paige) Sloan, Meagan (Travis) Hartman, Ian Cook and Kevin (Miranda) Cook, great -grandchildren; Savannah Cook, Samuel Hartman, Reed Sloan and Levi Cook. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00PM on Sunday at the Elkhorn City Church of Christ with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 with Jim Ed Belcher and Billy Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Cook Cemetery at Ashcamp, Ky.
