Helena Ruth Bailiff, 96 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was a member of the Elkhorn City Baptist Church and the Women’s Auxillary. Helena was born September 19, 1925 in Pikeville, KY to the late Zora Stegall and America Adkins Collier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Jefferson Bailiff, daughter, Sandra Bailiff Phipps, great-great-grandchild, Nathan Samuel Bailiff, and sister, Jean Bailiff. Helena is survived by a son, Ned Dennis (Katie) Bailiff, and daughter, Gwen Bailiff (Bud) Kendrick both of Elkhorn City, KY; eight grandchildren, Ned Dennis (Mary) Bailiff, Jr., Tamarena Bailiff (Charles) Fields, Jeffery Gene (Keisha) Bailiff, Lisa Kendrick (Barry) Estep, Audria Kendrick (Brian) Denker, Donnie Ray Phipps, Mark Dwayne (Gina) Phipps, and Victoria Phipps (Scott) Davis; fifteen great-grandchildren, Tranvilla Nichole Bailiff, Kayla Ann-Marie Bailiff Martin, Christopher Todd Bailiff, Zachary Dalton Fields, Mackenzie Renee’ Bailiff, Sydney Paige Bailiff, Jordan Chase Owens, Lashawna Brooke Pilz, Joseph Christian Daniels, Jeremy Charles Deal, Siera Grace Denker, Rheagan Bannach, Chelsi Kidd, Logan Phipps and Corey Daniel (Tasha) Bailiff; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren, Noah Andrew Martin, Luke Joshua Martin, Scarlet Victoria Rose, Jayden Owens White, Alisha Kaye Owens, Kendall Vivian Rose, Shepard Vincent Rose, Garrett Jefferson Bailiff, Andrew Lloyd Kisner, Jacob Jaxon Owens, Ava Marie Owens, Davie Ruth Bailiff, Abrahm Micah Bailiff, Heaven Leigh Fields and Easton Rawling Fields. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Wednesday, Oct. 27 and Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11AM from the chapel with Corey Bailiff and Aaron Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Elkhorn City Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY.
