Tommy Tackett, 68 of Hellier passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 at his residence. Tommy was born Feb. 5, 1946 in Pike County to the late Watt Tackett & Lula Lawson Bowens. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Lawson and three sisters, Brenda Blevins, Mary Evelyn Tackett & Artheda Chaney. Tommy is survived by his wife, Jannie Williams Tackett, two sons, Tommy Eugene Tackett & Ray Michael Tackett and six grandchildren all of Hellier, KY. He is also survived by one brother, Stanley Tackett of Hellier, KY and two sisters, Lois Mullins & Sharon Newsome both of Allegheny, KY. Visitation will be after 6PM Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 at the Allegheny Freewill Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 at 1PM from the church. Burial will follow at the Allegheny Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Allegheny, KY.
