Rubie Charlotte Potter, 86 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at her residence. Rubie was born April 23, 1933 at Praise, KY to the late Brackster Stewart & Barbara Ann McPeek Stewart. In addition to her parents, Rubie was preceded in death by her husband, Worley Stanfield Potter, step-children, Charles Potter, Dorsey Clevinger, James B. Potter & Mae Bennett, two brothers, Speed Stewart & Arnold Stewart, one sister, Nell Looney, and half sister, Sharon Barrett. Rubie is survived by three sons, Elmer Eugene Potter & Paul Vincent Potter both of Elkhorn City, KY and James Dennis Potter of Haysi, VA; three daughters, Diana Lynn Gilbert & Benita Raines both of Elkhorn City, KY and Dorsey Mae Graham of Springton, PA; forty-one grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Rubie is also survived by two half brothers, Lowell Stewart of TN & Danny Stewart of Elkhorn City, KY and one half sister, Geraldine Potter of Elkhorn City, KY. A private burial at the Elkhorn City Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY at a later date.
