Margie Bartley, 71

Margie Bartley, 71 of Ashcamp, KY passed away Wednesday, May 01, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elkhorn Community Church. She was born January 10, 1953 to the late Hillard Thacker and Lou Eplin Thacker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Bartley, a brother, Benny Thacker and a sister, Margaret Johnson.

Margie is survived by a son, Jason “Karen” Bartley of Virgie, KY; a daughter, Sonya Bartley of Hazard, KY; special grandson, Nathan Stupart; grandchildren, Isaiah Stupart, Aaliyah (Brandon) Jones, C. J. Bartley, Tyler Bartley, Nick Smith, Quentin Walker and K. J. Robinson; two great-grandchildren, Kyndall and Klaire Jones.

She is also survived by four brothers, Hillard Thacker, Jr., Rubin Thacker and Lonnie Dean Thacker all of Pikeville, KY and Gary Thacker of Rockhouse, KY and two sisters, Lorene Sturgill of Virgie, KY., Debbie Thacker of Pikeville, KY. and a half sister, Barbara Mullins of Dorton, Ky.

Visitation will be from 1-2PM on Sunday, May 05, 2024 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 2PM from the chapel with Lee Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow at Rob Ratliff Cemetery, Shelby Gap, KY.
