Kelpie Lou Senters, 85 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at Mt. View Healthcare Center. Kelpie Lou was born April 29, 1930 at Dunleary, KY to the late Rudy Belcher & Leon Hurley Belcher. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bennett Senters, one daughter, Sharon Senters and two great-grandchildren. Kelpie Lou is survived by three sons, Charles Senters, Jr. of Shelbiana, KY, David Senters & Jimmy Dales Senters both of Elkhorn City, KY; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Bobby Belcher of Richlands, VA. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at 11AM from the chapel. Burial will follow at the Wilson Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
I only got to meet Kelpie one time, but I could tell how much she meant to Charles and Dale and how much they meant to her. Reminded me of my own mother. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Kelpie Lou was my mother’s best friend. Now they are together in heaven.
Just a few days ago we were talking about Charles and Kelpie Lou….great friends from many years ago that we had lost touch with. James worked with Charles at Kentland Elkhorn where they became close friends and I loved Kelpie Lou the first time I met her. These were special people with old fashioned values and a deep love for family. They had the gift of making you feel welcome when you happened to drop in for a visit as we often did.
