Joy Lee Stewart, 60 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at her residence. Joy was born November 17, 1954 in Pikeville, KY to the late Hassell Bryant & Vassie Johnson Bryant. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Claude, Arlan and Hassell “Johnny” Bryant and one sister, Thelma Lynn Bryant. Joy is survived by her husband, Ben Stewart of Elkhorn City, KY, one son, Kevin Miracle of Pikeville, KY, one step-daughter, Kandace Stewart of South Carolina; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Troy & James “Baldy” Bryant both of Bowling Fork, KY and three sisters, Helen Coleman of Elkhorn City, KY, Inez Sykes & Mabel Epling both of Bowling Fork, KY. Visitation will be after 6PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Sulphur Spring Independent Church, Elkhorn City, KY with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11AM from the church. Burial will follow at the Potter Cemetery, Little Beaver, Elkhorn City, KY.
So saddened to hear about Joy I had lost track of her and her family after moving away years ago but thought about all of the often,surely brings back fond memories of living next to them and going to school together.Heaven has gained another angel and I pray for comfort for all the family.
