Jacqueline “Jackie” Kerr, 86 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Pikeville Medical Center. Jackie was born October 16, 1928 at Hellier, KY to the late A.D. Loveday & Zelma Loveday. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bub” Kerr, one brother, Robert Earl Bartley & one step-grandson. Jackie is survived by one son, Jimmy Kent Kerr of Pikeville and one daughter, Vicki Compton of Elkhorn City, KY; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 2, 2015 from the chapel with Jim Ed Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at the Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin, KY.

This lady was like a second Mother to me growing up. She was one of the finest women I ever knew and the way she lived her life an inspiration to all. I have so many fond memories of Jackie and Bubb growing up in Elkhorn. and they always made me feel like family. May she rest in peace, and my deepest sympathy to Vicki, Jimmy Kent and all the kids.
