Jimmy Lee Oney, 87 of Regina, KY passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at his residence. Jimmy was a retired coal miner and a member of the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church. Jimmy was born March 16, 1937 at Harless Creek, KY to the late Lee Oney and Emma Pauley Oney. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Meadows Oney, a brother, Willie Oney and sisters, Florence Bowling, Carleen Looney, Glema Smallwood and Donna Rodriguez.

Jimmy is survived by two sons, Roger (Tabitha) Oney and Gary Oney both of Regina, KY; a daughter, Susan (Rick) Carrier of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Zachary Oney, Alexander Oney, Christopher Oney, Samantha Pendergrass, and Kasy Slone; and great-grandchildren, Walker Oney, Makleigh Pendergrass and M.J. Alexander. He is also survived by a sister, Shirley Coleman of Wolfpit, KY.

Visitation will be after 6PM Wednesday, October 30 and Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, November 01, 2024 at 2PM from the church with Jimmy Dale Sanders and others officiating. Burial will follow at the Oney Family Cemetery, Harless Creek, Regina, KY.
