George Clayton Canada, 59, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2024 due to heart complications. He was born on May 2, 1965 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Tom and Darlene Canada. George was the youngest of four boys. He was a US Veteran; served in the Army and member of the Free Mason.
George loved fishing, camping, 4-wheeling adventures in his jeep, watching old westerns and collecting whiskey decanters. George met Lula Faye Rose at Hall’s Laundromat in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky in 2011. Lula Faye and George were companions and had the best of times for thirteen years. George was a kind, generous and thoughtful person. He will be missed by many.
George is survived by his love and lifelong companion, Lula Faye Rose of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Brother, Doug Canada, of Pikeville, Kentucky, Daughter, Clorissa Canada of South Point, Ohio. Best friends, “Pickle” Paul Smith and Russell Harden, Timmy and Dawn Stephens. George was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Canada and Gary Canada. Parents, Tom and Darlene Canada.
Visitation will be from 6-10PM Tuesday, August 06, 2024 from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Masonic Rites at 6:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, August 07, 2024 at 11AM with burial in the Apple Orchard Cemetery in Pikeville, Kentucky.
