Randy Blake Fuller, age 79 of Feds Creek, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at his home. Randy was born July 8, 1944, the son of the late, Imal (Keene) Fuller and Elzer T. Fuller. In addition to his beloved parents, Randy was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bobby Fuller, Danny “Red” Fuller and Benjamin Fuller. Randy wore many hats over the years, serving in the United States Air Force, working as a coal miner and later as a school teacher, athletic director, and bus driver for the Pike County School System. As an educator, Randy touched many lives and inspired many students who still regard him as their favorite teacher. Randy’s infectious smile, sense of humor and laugh made him a joy to be around, but he was also a man who stood for what he always believed was honest, right and true. Randy was a man who loved sports, but his true passion was baseball. He had a try-out with the Pittsburg Pirates and later served as a radio announcer for Cincinnati Reds, his favorite team. He was an avid supporter of the University of Kentucky Men’s basketball and football teams. His passion for sports led him to re-vitalize the Feds Creek High School Girl’s Basketball team in 1996, where he served as Head Coach until 2002, when Feds Creek ceased to be a High School. His love for his players showed in their practices and his passion on the sidelines was unmatched.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jennifer, daughter, Ashley, grandchildren Bayleigh Jo Marie Fuller and Silas Blake Ratliff, two brothers, Billy Jack Fuller, Sr. of Feds Creek and Elzer T. Fuller, Jr. of Versailles, KY, along with a host of nieces and nephews who loved and admired him all their lives. Randy will be missed by many.
