Harold Gene Stewart, 79 of Belcher, Ky. was born on August 10, 1943. He passed away at his home on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Harold Stewart was the son of Frank and Viola Newsome Stewart. In addition to his father, Harold was preceded in death by his wife; Sharon Gail Stewart, a daughter; Lucinda Stewart, a step son; Richard O’Brian, a grandson; Garrett Vansickle, 2 brothers; Freddie Stewart and James Stewart, and a brother-in-law; Morgan Smith. Harold was a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church. Harold was an assembly line operator for 25 years for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. Harold is survived by his mother: Viola Stewart of Elkhorn City, Ky., daughters; Lesa (Tony) Curtis of Michigan, Charlotte Vansickle of Ohio and Colena Stewart of Belcher, Ky. a step-daughter; Kristi Anders of Lick Creek, Ky., a brother; Gary Stewart of Marrowbone, Ky., sisters; Margaret Smith Stewart of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mary Evelyn (David) Howell of Kentucky and Deborah (William) Cortes of Marrowbone, Ky. and a sisters-in-law; Rena Stewart of Kentucky and Joyce Stewart of Michigan, 10 grandchildren and 14 great -grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. To celebrate Harold Gene Stewart’s life a visitation will begin after 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in the Lick Creek Holiness Church. Funeral service will be held in the church on Wednesday at 2:00 with Plennie Gale Sawyers and Rick Fuller officiating, Burial will follow in the Mt. Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, Va.
