Fay Reese Elswick, 101 of Shelbiana, KY passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her home.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Creek Church of God. Fay was born February 23, 1921 at Allegheny, KY to the late Edward Reese and Kentucky Ratliff Reese. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ersil Elswick, daughter, Sylvia Quillin, grandson, Marty Quillin, brothers, Ray and Bobby Reese, sisters, Mossy, Mamie, Vesta, Ruth, Pauline and Florence and daughter-in-law, Glenda Elswick.

Fay is survived by two sons, James Edward Elswick of Southport, NC and John Bill (Nancy) Elswick of Shelbiana, KY; daughter, Janice Fay (Doug) Davis of Coeburn, VA; grandchildren, Kathy, Donna, Paula, James E., James D., John, Leigh Ann, Jason and Steven; great-grandchildren, Heather, Zachary, Wesley, Chase, Haleigh, Emily, Kaitllen, Patrick, Chloe & Adam; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Fay is also survived by her son-in-law, John Quillin of Bristol, VA, special niece, Fay Murphy and a special person in her life, Miranda Skeens. A special thank you to her caregivers Helen Thacker, Roberta Newsome and Christina Castle.

Visitation will be from 6-10PM Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 01, 2023 at 2PM from the chapel with Rev. Alfred Adkins, Bro. Danny Akers, and Bro. Danny Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
