James Edward Ratliff, 78 of Columbus, OH passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at his residence. James was born June 26, 1944, in Regina, KY to the late Kester Ratliff and Elizabeth Hall Ratliff. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Ratliff and Jim Ratliff and three sisters, Dorothy Hogston, Lola Turner and Imal Belcher. James is survived by a son, Brian Edward Ratliff of Columbus, OH; two daughters, Mary Ratliff of Columbus, OH and Joanna Whitt of Buckeye Lake, OH; grandchildren, Shawnt`e Szabo, Trenton Siefring, Brian E. Ratliff, II, Sierra Ratliff, Summer Whitt and Scott Whitt and step-grandchild, Sammy and great-grand grandchildren, Macey, Caden, Ryder Jameson, Kinzer, Kaislynn, Scott III, Lakelyn and Alayna. James is also survived by a brother, Stevie Ratliff of Columbus, OH. The visitation will be from 6-10PM Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11AM from the chapel with Gary Hogston officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
