Betty Lou May, 83 of Draffin, KY passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Little Ellen Old Regular Baptist Church. She was born December 07, 1938 at Jimmies Creek, KY to the late Nelson Coleman and Maggie Ratliff Coleman. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Kay May, brothers, Ola Ray, Harlie, Clinton and Clayton Coleman and sisters, Rebel Ratliff, Versie Blair, Bernice Sifers and Barbara Coleman. Betty is survived by her husband, Dallas Racine May of Draffin, KY; two sons, Randall Keith (Brenda Rizzo) May of Elgin, IL and Rick May of Draffin, KY; a daughter, Brenda (Everett Blackburn) Fraley of Draffin, KY; six grandchildren, Jill (Nathan) Sussan, Melissa (Shane) Chrisman, Jennifer (Derick) Shepherd, Kelsee (Brandon) Walsh, Bayleigh (Dan) May and Josh (Brandy) Blackburn; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Freddie (Kay) Coleman of Draffin, KY. Visitation will be after 6PM Wednesday, August 10 and Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 12, 2022 at 2PM from the church with Jimmy Dale Sanders, Steve Coleman and Jerry Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow at Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
