Carol Newcomb, 79 of Lookout, KY passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at her residence. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Poorbottom Freewill Baptist Church. Carol was born March 13, 1943, at Henry Clay, KY to the late Verda Mae Blackburn. In addition to her mother, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Theadore Newcomb, and sister Pam Blackburn. Carol is survived by two sons, Barry (Melissa Ann) Newcomb and Brandon Blackburn both of Pikeville, KY; granddaughter, Devin Nichole (Matthew) Patrick; and great-granddaughter, Emma Hope Patrick. Visitation will be from 6-10 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11AM from the chapel with Richard Gibson, Jonny Ray Swiney and Jimmy Dean Looney. Burial will follow at the Blackburn Family Cemetery, Henry Clay, KY.
I cant imagine what you all are going through, She was such a beautiful soul. Laughing and was so caring. She would always hug me and my niece whenever we came in or left. You could sit and talk to her for hours, and she always had a smile. Never not a bad word about anyone, and always gave the warmest hugs. And believe me when I say she adored that little one. Now she is her angel. Our hearts are broken. We will always have a special place in our hearts for her. And will always love her dearly. Carol was a special lady. And we will miss her dearly. We are sending thoughts and prayers to the family. As well as those who knew her. God bless. We love you all.
