Lawrence Lester, 84 of Ashland, KY passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at KDMC. Lawrence was a retired coal miner. He was born April 28, 1937, at Feds Creek, KY to the late Jessie Lester and Bessie Taylor Lester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Nathaniel Lester and Doug Lester, brother Ellis and sisters, Ruby, Ellie, and Holly. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Francis Fields Lester of Ashland, KY; two sons, Kevin Lester of Ashland, KY and Chris Lester of Elkhorn City, KY; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Howard Lester of TN and Walter Lester of OK. Visitation will be from 6-10 PM Sunday, Feb. 06, 2022, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 07, 2022, at 2 PM from the chapel. Burial will follow at the Lester Cemetery, Feds Creek, KY.
