We are so sorry to hear of DeLon’s passing. I met DeLon and his wife, Joyce, at a doctor’s office. As we talked, we realized that DeLon and my mom, Mollie Sue “Adkins “ Thacker, had attended school, at Hellier, together. We all had a wonderful talk with each other, for quite some time, while waiting. DeLon and Joyce had invited me and my husband, to their 50th wedding anniversary. (This was a few years ago.) Unfortunately, we were unable to attend. My impression of DeLon and Joyce was a great one. They both came across, to me, to be great Christian people. I believe they walked, talked and lived a good Christian life. It definitely outwardly showed. From the impression they left on me, there are just some people, who remain with you, in thought and prayer. These two, I believe, were a beautiful couple. Me, my husband and family send our deepest sympathies. May God lift, comfort and bless each and every one of you, during this time of grief and always.

I was in service with Bro. Delon just a coiuple weeks ago and was heart broken to hear about his death. Had plans to be at the funeral, but lost another dear Brother in Christ, and have to take care of his service, but know that my heart and prayers are with his family and church family. Much love from brother James Dotson.
