Elster King, 89 of Regina, KY passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born November 23, 1931 at Lick Creek, KY to the late Ellis King and Cora Ward King. He was a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church and a retired coal miner for Republic Steel. In addition to his parents, Elster was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Ward King, two sons, Rick King and Gary Lee King, three daughters, Baby King, Nancy Hylton & Tonya Tackett, and six brothers, Ewhaven, Curtis, Ellis, Jr., Lacy, Bobby and Boone King. Elster is survived by two granddaughters, Kelly King (Steve) Smith of Bardstown, KY and Amy King (Aaron) Williams of Louisville, KY; great-granddaughter, Zoe Tackett that he loved as his own daughter, four great-granddaughters, Brittany (John) Madison, Amari Tackett, Amaya Williams & Ariana Williams; one great-grandson, Aaron Jr. Williams; and one great-great-grandson, Jackson Madison and a special son-in-law, Dustin (Misty) Tackett of Georgetown, KY; one brother, Thaddeus King of Virgie, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and special neighbors. Visitation will be Friday, August 27, 2021 from 6-10PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 1PM from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Varney officiating. Burial will follow at Ratliff Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
