James Orville “Baldy” Bryant, 60 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on Aug. 21, 1960 in Pikeville, Ky., and passed away at home on Aug. 6, 2021. He was the son of Hassel and Vassie Johnson Bryant who have preceded him in death. Baldy was a landscaper for T & D Landscaping. He was a member of the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son; Joshua, brothers; Claude, Arlan, Troy and Hassell “Johnny” Bryant, sisters; Joy Stewart and Thelma Bryant. Survivors are his wife; Victoria Sword Bryant, son; Jonathon (Tierra) Bryant of Colorado Springs, Colorado, sisters; Inez Sykes, Mable Epling, and Carolyn Coleman all of Elkhorn City, grandchildren; Milam Hassel, Holland Grey and Willow Athena Dawn Bryant. Visitation will be from 6:00PM-10:00PM on Monday, August 09 and 8:00 AM-10:PM on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 with a funeral service on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Roger Johnson will officiate.
