Granville Tackett, 83 of Maryville, TN passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at Asbury Place, Maryville, TN. Granville was born January 13, 1931 at Belcher, KY to the late Buell Tackett & Malvry Rowe Tackett. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Joey Randolph Tackett, three brothers, Gene, John Wesley & Archie and two sisters, Rose Mary & Rethal. Granville is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wright Tackett of Maryville, one son, John Elliott Tackett of Maryville, TN and two daughters, Sue Long of Richland, WA & Wendi Davidson of Zanesville, OH. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12-2PM Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at the Elkhorn City United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM from the church with Tommy Taulbee officiating.
