Junior Hylton, 90 of Shelby Gap, Ky. was born on Aug. 27, 1930, in Grundy, Va. to Lundy and Julie Jackson Hylton Slone. He passed away at home on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Junior was a coal miner and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Lindy Helton, and a sister, Ethel Tester. Survivors are his brother, Mack (Bonnie) Helton of Big Rock, VA; nephews, Homer, Benny, Doug, and Mark Helton and Charlie Brown and nieces, Julie Adkins, Ruth Kilgore, Melvie Jackson, Jessica Helton, Karen Helton, and Tonya Brown. Visitation will be 6:00 PM -10:00 PM on Sunday, 8:00 AM-10:00 PM on Monday with a funeral on Tuesday at 1:00 with Scotty Tackett, Allen Thacker, and Ryan Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, Va.
