Olive Jerrine Potter Ward, 88 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at her residence. Olive was a retired school teacher and a member of the Little Beaver Creek Church of Christ. Olive was born March 03, 1932 at Praise, KY to the late William Landon Potter & Jettie Coleman Potter. In addition to her parents, Olive was preceded in death by one son, Larry Ward, two great-grandchildren Ian Sesco & Kyle Mason Ward, four brothers, Elwood Potter, Hassell Potter, Elster Potter & Laythie Charles Potter and four sisters, Nina Sue Potter, Erma Lou Potter, Ella June Potter & Lenore Adkins. Olive is survived by three sons, Proctor Ward, Jr. & Paul Randall (Sheila) Ward both of Elkhorn City, KY and Gary Michael Ward of Lick Creek, KY; three daughters, DeEtta Lynn Swiney of Breaks, VA, Ginger Gail (Larry) Sesco & Rita Sue Swiney both of Elkhorn City, KY; eleven grandchildren, Brian Swiney, James Randall Ward, Rebecca Goble, Gary Wayne Swiney, Jason Dewayne Sesco, J.R. Swiney, Richard Allen Ward, Krystal Lewis, Paula Childers, Shawn Ward & Derek Sesco; twenty-eight great-grandchildren, Breanna Ward, Olivia Ward, Amber Hickman, Haylee Owens, Adessa Swiney, Harley Swiney, Logan Bartley, Presley Swiney, Sarah Swiney, Devin Ferguson, Joshua Bailey Ward, Eden Whitaker, Elizabeth Ward, Paul Andrew Ward, Timothy Ward, Addison Childers, Ashton Childers, Harper Childers, Kagan Ward, Brody Lewis, Adaline Lewis, Alaina Lewis, Logan Goble, Allie Hill, Gunner Sesco, Quinnleigh Sesco, Oliver Sesco; and six great-great grandchildren, Jackson Hickman, Noah Owens, Isaiah Owens, Liam Bergstrom, Ryann Whitaker, Emmy Hill and one on the way. Visitation will be from 6-10PM Tuesday, March 02, 2021 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 03, 2021 at 2PM from the chapel. Entombment will follow at J.U. Thacker Mausoleum, Pikeville, KY.
