John Wayne Barnes, 74 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away at home on Thursday, December 19, 2019. John was born in Texas on July 30, 1945 to Elvis and Donna Barnes. John was a retired policeman and served in the US Airforce. John was also a member of the Elkhorn City Church of Christ and a member of the Defiers Motorcycle Club. Survivors are his wife; Wilma Gay, son; Charlie Counts and daughter; Robin Caudill all of Elkhorn City, Ky. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Elkhorn City Church of Christ. Dec. 27, 2019 at 11:00 with Frank Crum and Jim Ed Belcher officiating.
