Brenda Kay Uddin, 64 of Elkhorn City passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 at Pikeville Medical Center. Brenda was born Sept. 2, 1950 in Pike County to the late Kent Bennett & Mae Potter Bennett. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Fatima Uddin and two brothers, David & Tommy Bennett. Brenda is survived by one son, Ryan Uddin of Elkhorn City, four sisters, Linda Ward of Dandridge, TN, Jeannie Swindall of Feds Creek, KY, Debbie Bennett of Elkhorn City and Tammy Hall of Yellow Hill, KY and three brothers, Jerry Kendrick of Maysville, KY, Kenneth Bennett of Elkhorn City & Dwayne Bennett of Kettlecamp, KY. Visitation will be from 6-7PM Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. The memorial service will be at 7PM from the chapel.
I’ve known Brenda since 2000….we were chat friends and remained friends long after chat was over. I followed all the updates Ryan and Meecy posted, hoping my dear friend would recover. I am so very sorry to have missed the post of her passing and her funeral. I had a heart attack 3 weeks ago and my thinking has been scrambled, please accept my sincere sympathy at the loss of your family member and loved one.
