Mattie Faye McAnally Griffith, 91 of Phyllis, KY passed away Friday September 05, 2014 at her daughter’s residence. Faye was born June 19, 1923 to the late William McAnally and Pearl Martin McAnally. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Griffith. Faye is survived by one son, Johnny Ray Griffth of Phyllis, Ky; three daughters, Alice Rich of Pikeville, KY, Judy Fields of Phyllis, KY and Kathy Bevins of Connely Spring, NC; as well as three sisters; Earlene Slack of Tishaomingo, Mississippi, Polly Alford of Iuka, Mississippi and Dorothy Smith of Spring Valley, CA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday Sept. 07 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may call after 6:00 pm. Service will begin at 7:00 PM with Randy Bowlin and Dewayne Abshire officiating. The funeral will be conducted Monday Sept. 08, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY.
We are so sorry for your loss. I know this has been and will be a terribly hard time for all of you. She was such a nice, friendly lady and will be missed by everyone that knew her. All of you will continue to be in our prayers.
