Pauline Cornett; 73

Pauline Cornett, 73 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on July 5, 1941 in Letcher County, Ky.  She passed away on August 31, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Pauline is the daughter of the late Sam and Ethel Caudill Polly.  She was the secretary/treasurer of the Elkhorn City Area Womans Club.  Pauline was a faithful servant of the Elkhorn City Baptist Church.  Survivors are: 1 brother, Earl(Sandy) Polly of St. Cloud, Florida, 2 sisters, Mary Puckett of Elkhorn City, Ky. and Ruby(Lee) Cornett of Titusville, Florida and several nieces, nephews and great nephews & nieces.  Funeral services will be conducted from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel , 11:00, Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 with Jason Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.  Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Monday at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel.

    Pauline was one of the most genuine people I have known. I knew her through
    Kentucky Federation of Women’s Club. In 1990, as District Governor, I asked
    Pauline to serve as the District Recording Secretary and she was still in the position. She loved being useful, what ever she was asked to do.

    I’m very sorry about Pauline passing away. I met her many years ago at Fayetta’s Dress Shop in E.C. She was a good smart lady. Also, she was a good friend of Pauline Rose. She misses her very much too. God Bless:
