Arthur Jefferson Madden, 72 of Rockhouse, KY passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center. Arthur was born April 12, 1946 at Rockhouse, KY to the late Hancel Madden & Edith Rose Mullins. Art was member of the Poorbottom Freewill Baptist Church, an US Army veteran & a member of the Elkhorn City DAV Chapter #140. In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by four brothers, Don Madden, Thomas Madden, Erby Madden & David Madden & two sisters, Evelyn Bartley & Anjita Sussan. Art is survived by his wife, Zella Ann Bowman Madden of Rockhouse, KY; a son, Chris Pigg of Hellier,KY; two daughters, Loretta Moreno of Bowling Fork, KY & Jennie Madden of Rockhouse, KY; seven grandchildren, Tyler Pigg, Dalton Pigg, Cody Newsome, Sylvannah Newsome, Wattonna Moreno, Andrew Moreno, Donovan Newsome, Alivia Ratliff and two great-grandchildren, Karson Pigg & Kolton Pigg. Art is also survived by two sisters, Dollie King of Washington & Diana Mullins of Elkhorn City, KY. Visitation will be after 6PM Friday, Dec. 21 & Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018 at the Poorbottom Freewill Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will conducted Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 11AM from the church with Richard Gibson & others officiating. Burial will follow at the Madden Cemetery, Rockhouse, KY.
