Thomas Hopkins, 61 of Marrowbone passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014 at Pikeville Medical Center. Thomas was born Nov. 7, 1952 in Pike County, KY to the late Tom Hopkins & Zelba Hall Hopkins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Patty Kelly, Myrtle Williams & Suzann Rose and five brothers, Everal Howard, William Tony, Jackie, Jesse & Jody Douglas Hopkins. Thomas is survived by his wife, Alpha Bentley Hopkins, three daughters, Jessica Tackett, Zelbann “Ann” Hopkins & Joannie Bentley and two sons, Thomas Kevin Hopkins & Calvin Bentley all of Marrowbone, KY. He is also survived by one sister, Janie Bentley of Rockhouse, KY, two brothers, Stacy Hopkins of Lookout, KY & Carson “Jimmy” Hopkins of Dorton, KY and three grandchildren. Visitation will be after 6pm Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 at the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 from the church. Burial will follow at the Hopkins Family Cemetery, Lookout, KY.
