Clayton Swindall, 80 of Ashcamp, KY passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home. Clayton was born on Sept. 18, 1938 in Clintwood, VA. to the late Zurland Swindall and Geneva Baker Swindall. Clayton was a KY Colonel and Scout Master for troop 328.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Creed Vanover and a sister, Lora Fleming. Clayton is survived by two sons, Clayton (Donna) Swindall and Curtis (Becky) Swindall both of Ashcamp, KY; and a daughter, Janet (James) Mercer of Pikeville, KY; 7 grandchildren, Brittney Nichole  Swindall, , Donovan Brett Swindall, Sarah Hunter Garrett, Randon Kurt (Chelsey) Swindall, Dalton Cole Swindall, Autumn Brooke (Shannon) Ward and Bradley Wayne ( Cindy) Prater;and six great grandchildren, Bradley Gage Prater, Aden Jonathon Prater, Gunner Brett Ward, Jett Brooks Ward, Myla Reese Swindall and Weston Cole Swindall. Clayton is also survived by two brothers, Bobby Swindall of Manassas, VA & Otto Swindall of Mineral, VA. Visitation will be after 6:00, Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church with a service at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the church on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12PM with Clyde Bentley and Richard Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Shelby Gap, KY.
