Charles William Byrd, 80 of Phyllis, Ky. was born on March 24, 1938 in South Carolina and passed away at his home on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018.  He was the son of Woodrow Wilson and Ponnee Byrd who preceded him in death, as well as sons; Richard Allen and William David Byrd and a sister Hazel Todd.  He was a member of the Feds Creek Church of Christ, a VFW member and owned an air freight business.  He served in the Army and also in the Navy.  Charles is survived by his wife; Patricia Kay Keene Byrd, 1 grandson; Darren Byrd and a great grandchild Madison Byrd; a step son Nathan(Emily) Mastin of Phyllis, step daughter; Bethany(Larry) Woodall of Lake Forest, NC, step grandchildren; Brandon Cole Woodall, Mackenzie Mastin, Peyton Eric Mastin and Mackenzie Barker .Funeral services will be held, Monday, 2:00 from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Rowlett  and Michael Keene officiating. Visitation will be at the chapel starting at 12:00 on Monday.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, Va.
