Carl Blaine”Bugs” Hackney, 67 of Elkhorn City passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center on Saturday.  Bugs was born on March 12, 1951 in Pikeville, Ky. to Ersel and Beulah Mullins Hackney.  He was a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church and an owner of a trucking company in which he also drove his own trucks.  He is survived by his wife; Susan, step children; Jerry Wellman of Elkhorn City, Christy Curry of Seymour, Tn.,, Brothers; Fayte(Darlene) Hackney of Florida and Blake(Tina) Hackney of Elkhorn City, sisters; Kathryn Hackney of Elkhorn City, and step grandchildren; Matthew and Sidney Curry.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings; Marie Ratliff, Gladys Ramey and Glenda Martin. Visitation will be from 6:00PM_10:00PM on Sunday, 8:00AM-10:00PM on Monday.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00, Tuesday at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Sayers, Rick Fuller and Rick Sayers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
