Teddie Renee Buchanan, 53 of Banner, KY passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her residence. Renee’ was born April 9, 1964 at Pikeville, KY to Grace Sawyers Williamson of Lick Creek, KY and the late Teddy Rayvene Abshire. Renee’ is survived by her husband, Billy Buchanan of Banner, KY and one son, Branham (Bryanna) Buchanan of Harold, KY. Renee’ is also survived by one brother, Ronald Abshire of Steele, KY and two sisters, Dewana (Rick) Phillips of Meta, KY and Sharon (Richard) Mullins of Lick Creek, KY. Visitation will be after 6PM Wednesday, January 31 and Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Lick Creek Holiness Church, Lick Creek, KY with a service Thursday evening at 7PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2PM from the church with Chester Keathley & Ray Sayers officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
I taught with Renee for many years at Mullins. She was a great Teacher and cared for her students very much. She always put her students first, and was a good friend she will be missed by many. I am sorry for your loss. God bless

Renee Was my cousin! Her biological father Teddy was my uncle! I knew Bill and Grace because I grew up on Lick Creek.I would play basketball with her brother Ron! I Just lost my mother recently and can sympathize with this family.I know that right now it seems surreal! I pray for God to give this family comfort in this time of suffering!
Renee was a very special lady!! I was married Billy Ray’s brother Johnny!! She loved Billy Ray, Branham , her family and friends!! I know one thing for sure is that she was a true child of God!! She showed her true fruits everyday in her life. I know that Renee gained her wings and there was a great celebration when she enter the gates of heaven.
